I approach life and work through the lens of embodied awareness—guided by curiosity, connection, and the understanding that our breath and body carry valuable information. When we learn to pay attention to them, we develop the ability to stay present through conflict, regulate our emotions, and build resilience. Over time, this practice supports greater clarity, self-knowledge, and a deeper sense of belonging in ourselves and the world around us.

Alaska, with its vastness and slow transformational quality, has carved me in ways both subtle and profound. It is here that I have come to understand the deep relationship between inner and outer ecology—the way the land teaches us how to listen, feel, and transmute. My work is rooted in this understanding: that we are not separate from the world that holds us.

I am Justine Mae Weitzman

[they/she] Yoga Therapist, ERYT300, YACEP, mother, artist, poet, and student of life.

Since completing my first yoga certification in 2015, I’ve immersed myself in teaching, personal healing, and professional development. My studies have spanned diverse modalities—from Yoga and eastern philosophy, to group therapy and trauma recovery, to Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, and shamanic traditions.

A cornerstone of my work is yoga therapy, which lives at the intersection of Eastern philosophy and Western science and psychology. This integrated, trauma-informed approach not only informs my one-on-one sessions, but is woven into how I design and teach group classes, seasonal workshops, and community offerings. It also guides how I run my business: intentionally, intuitively, and in deep relationship with those I serve.

Much like the influence of the land that raised me and the many teachers I’ve learned from, my lived experience as a queer person—and the beautiful, expansive community I’ve grown within that identity—deeply informs how I hold space, who I center in my work, and how I structure my businesses. Queerness has taught me to question binaries, honor complexity, and celebrate fluidity—qualities that shape how I teach, listen, and invite others to engage into their own truth. The queer community has given me language for belonging, models of mutual care, and a deep reverence for transformation. This lens helps me create spaces where people are invited to explore their full selves, especially parts that have been historically dismissed or marginalized. It reminds me to move and guide at the pace of trust, to value chosen family and nontraditional paths, and to prioritize authenticity over performance. My teachings reflect this– non-hierarchical, relational, trauma-informed, and spacious. These threads are woven into everything I offer—from one-on-one sessions to the way I nurture collaborations, to how I build accessibility and reciprocity into my business. This lived experience isn’t separate from my professional path—it’s part of the soul of my work.

My offerings are a synthesis of many teachings—drawn from books, mentors, ecosystems, poetry, ancestors and guides, and the slow process of listening deeply to my own breath, nervous system, and body. It is through that intuitive integration that I continue to meet myself, and it is through that doorway that I meet you.

Much of my life’s work centers around guiding others into connection—with their bodies, breath, and inner wisdom. This connection opens us to remembering our place in the wider web of life—linked to land, ancestors, future generations, and the unknown.
