Yogic and Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Tradition | BEGINNER-FRIENDLY
Explore how deepening our relationship to our inner and outer ecology (our bodies, minds, and spirits, as well as our communities, families, and earth), through Yoga, the Seven Chakras, and Lama Rod Owens’ 7 Homecomings, can assist us in clarifying our values, so we may bring ourselves more fully into our work and relationships. and envision a future where we are healthy and free.
Workshop will be hosted at Gather - 2612 Eagle St, Anchorage, AK 99503
About the Class:
We are collectively and individually navigating tumultuous times. Expression of our truest self can become obstructed and overrun when our mental, emotional, and physical health are compromised, when our inner world is clouded by judgement, biases, or shame, or our outer world is riddled with uncertainty, challenges, or chronic stress.
This 7-week series is an opportunity to create a container for exploration of self, to introduce simple movement and breath practices for balance, coherence, contemplation, regeneration and restoration, as well as guided meditation and introspection to cultivate home within your own ecosystem. By deepening our relationship to our inner and outer resources, we create an environment that allows for greater ease and well-being, and a life where our self-expression and truths are welcomed and celebrated.
Our models and frameworks:
The 7 Chakras as a system of understanding the body and being. Below you’ll find a comprehensive explanation of the 7 Chakras:

By rooting ourselves in self-awareness, self-discovery, and self-care, we are providing communal care. It is through this deep and intimate knowing of the self that we may truly show up for and help shape the world around us. By learning to (co)create a self-sufficient and sustainable ecosystems within, we are better able to step into our lives through ALIGNED action, writing a new story rooted in love, compassion, empowerment, self-actualization, and truth.
