The Holding Practice—

is developing a Community Resilience Partnership to support non-profit and helping professionals address burnout and build capacity through expert led group and individual practices such as Yoga and functional movement, mindfulness, and guided breath.

My Approach

What began as a small contract with Providence Behavioral Health and occasional collaborations with local nonprofits, has now evolved into The Community Resilience Partnership.

I am so proud of the relationships I fostered in my time owning and operating Gather, a small community-centered business for movement, art, and coming together. The relationships and lessons learned there have fueled this next phase of work in ways I never anticipated.

I feel especially driven to provide tools and practices to support folks who’s hearts brought them to the work they do, yet find themselves burned out, exhausted, untethered, or overwhelmed by the workload and the state of their local and global economy. A lot of people need help, and the helpers are tired.

What sets this project apart isn’t necessarily the process itself—it’s the intention behind it. I am invested in supporting medical professionals, social workers, non-profit workers and helping professionals embody the values that brought them to the path they walk and the work they show up for. We’ll take time to understand, explore, and practice with purpose.

Simple ideas

Change does not have to be a grand statement that sparkles and shines. Simple, every day practices can catalyze bigger change that last beyond the onset.

Lasting impact

The small every day habits and rituals become the framework for how you move through work and play, address conflict, and how you speak to yourself when the going gets tough.
