In celebration of Autumnal Equinox
The In-between
A gathering for grief, gratitude & possibility
What happens when the world stops making sense?
What becomes possible when we allow ourselves to pause and notice, rather than immediately trying to figure out what comes next?
The In-between is an evening to gather, reflect, and explore embodied practice just in time for Autumnal Equinox. This time is for anyone moving through a season of transition, uncertainty, loss, change, or simply feeling a little untethered.
Hi, I’m Merrick! I am a certified Yoga Therapist, an artist by practice, and a poet and writer when I can find the words. I am many things and so are you, which is part of what makes this practice of being so important!
As a queer and neurodivergent person, I naturally see the world through a creative and curious lens. I'm interested in demystifying Yoga and the body by transforming it into an experience that feels less intimidating, more playful and maybe even sacred— a ritual you can return to over and over again throughout your life.
We recognize that we work and play throughout the unceded territories of the Indigenous Peoples of Alaska.
We acknowledge Anchorage was built upon Dgheyay Kaq’, ancestral territories of the Dena’ina Alaska Native Peoples. We honor their past, present, and future generations by acknowledging the persistence of Indigenous worldviews throughout Alaska, promoting land back, language back, and Indigenous-led causes. We are grateful to those who have held relationship with these lands, waters, plants and creatures for millennia and to whom these spaces, places, and times will forever be homelands.
Inherent Embodiment is committed to the moral obligation to acknowledge, understand, and dismantle colonial practices and systems of oppression, to the benefit of all Alaskans.
